Ambulance Technician

The West Central Division of the Scottish Ambulance Service provides a full range of ambulance services to the population of Greater Glasgow and Lanarkshire.

The successful candidates will be offered competitive salaries under the agenda for change, ranging from Band 4 to 5, depending on the position offered.
Two Higher grades or equivalent, and a current first aid certificate are desirable although all applicants will be required to sit and achieve a satisfactory result in the Scottish Ambulance Service entry examinations.
The starting salary for Technicians during training and probationary period is £15,613 pro rata per annum, rising to £17,316 pro rata per annum on successful completion of the training and probationary period. This will increase in annual increments to £20,818 pro rata per annum, subject to annual development reviews.
Ambulance Care Assistants wishing to progress to Ambulance Technician status will have a starting salary of £15,613 pro rata per annum or retain their Agenda for Change Ambulance Care Assistant incremental point, whichever is greater. On completion of the training / probationary period, the salary will be £17,316 pro rata per annum or the next incremental point to the current Agenda for Change salary, rising to £20,818 pro rata per annum, subject to annual development reviews.
